The Winter School is tailored for MSc and PhD students in the field of neuroscience and cognitive science, but covers a range of topics of potential interest to other researchers, reflecting on the ethical and societal consequences of modern neuroscience.

Program: The Winter School offers two parallel tracks: a Philosophical Track focusing on theoretical aspects, metaethics and moral responsibility, and an Empirical Track, which, besides theoretical foundations, offers an overview of practical aspects such as animal research, clinical practice, deep brain stimulation, neuroenhancement, brain reading, neurolaw, good scientific practice, and ethics committees, including group work and participants' presentations.
